The Bourne Group Goes Green
Trees for Life recently sent us a certificate as a thank you for our corporate donation, which sponsored the planting of a grove of 90 trees.
The donation was made as a way to balance out the environmental impact of our business activities and the general running of Bourne House during 2006 and we’re currently also collating the Group's energy usage data for 2007. Below is an excerpt from the thank you letter we received from Trees for Life:
“I am writing to let you know that the ninety trees Brewers dedicated last year (on behalf of The Bourne Group at Bourne House) to lower its environmental impact for 2006, were planted this Spring at the Nature Reserve in Corrimony, Glen Urquhart and were a mix of Scots Pines and Birch ... All of us at Trees for Life are really grateful to Brewers for not only their environmental awareness, but also helping to make last year our biggest ever – and what’s more, the Caledonian Forest is now ninety trees better off!”
